The Culinary Arts Program has just begun its third semester on campus. So far, the program seems very promising and those involved seem determined to make a stand here, and have done quite well, despite some negative feedback from faculty and students, and a rocky start.

When the program began last year, 18 students had enrolled, although by the second week it minimized to about 12. Consequently, the kitchen was shorthanded, resulting in delayed orders, sometimes conflicting with the student's class schedules. Nonetheless, most students and staff appeared satisfied.

Two semesters later, the returning students seem to be very happy about the upcoming progress to the program. The old Culinary Arts classroom will be restructured into a dining area, designed to appeal to customers as a more professional setup. Also, the inclusion of an evening course to serve the night class students, who have been left out of service since the removal of the dining cart last year. Overall, with the increased enrollment and upcoming expansions, the Culinary Arts Program appears to be cooking up success!
