Burly Girls or Girly Girls: Who Gets More Attention

It's about time an age old argument has been settled, and it is
which type of girl gets more attention from guys those who tend to be
girly or those who are into sports. It is a well known fact that girly
girls like to spend an awful amount of time in the bathroom making sure
their hair and nails are done, while burly girls such as myself, couldn't
care less about how we look because we are more like guys than even
guys want to admit. Burly girls are known by the term "tomboy," a term
which means a female who happens to like male-dominated activity such as
football, basketball, wrestling (sports related activity) while girly
girls like to go to the mall to shop.
The only shopping you'll see me doing is grocery shopping, I'm a
burly girl the exact opposite of what society says every girl in my age
group should be. Society says that all girls should be docile;
well I'm definitely not docile. I like rough-and-tumble sports like football
and bull riding, BMX (An EXTREME SPORT). As opposed to most girls my
age who watch "Young & the Restless" or as I like to call it "Dumb & the
Delusional." I wouldn't be caught dead watching soap operas and girly
girls make me sick with the amount of eyeliner and makeup they put on
their faces on a daily basis, it makes them look like clowns and it
makes me feel sympathetic for them.
On the other hand, girly girls do have one slight
advantage they're the ones who get the boyfriends first. Let's face it guys never date
the girl that reminds them of their male friends. They always go for
the girl next door. You know the typical stereotype, blond hair 5 "10
blue eyes; the works, so what I want to know is what is it with these
girls that makes them so attractive to guys in the first place. I for one
am always the friend of the good-looking guy while the beautiful girl
always gets him. I'm sick and tired of trying so hard not to let this
get to me, but it's driving me nuts. I've hooked up so many of my guy

Well reading from your post you seem to really hate girly girls..just my opinion. Anyways I'm not girly or tom-ish, i guess i'm in the middle, maybe a more tomboy then girly but I can see your point although I don't agree to it. (Continued…)

I think you should take a step back and look at yourself. I'm a guy and I know that if a girl is into the same things I'm into, such as BMX, etc., that's a plus for her. (Continued…)

I myself, am both. I can be your cliche girly girl that does all the 'right' things to look good, as well as being that tomboy that all teh guys can open up to because im like 'one of the guys'. (Continued…)

Hang on, I'm a girl who likes to look good, put makeup on and wear nice clothes, but I'm not dumb at all. 4.0 G.P.A, heaps of extra curriculars....and I'm friends with boys AND girls? Gosh!
Also, as a fellow journalist, its a little embarrassing to have an article like this on your website that clearly has not been edited and the only purpose it serves is to publish a rant. (Continued…)
