The L.A. Harbor College Associated Students Organization will be hosting Constitution Day on Wednesday, Sept. 17th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Quad in front of the Seahawk Center. Every year, the U.S. Government requires colleges nationwide to adhere to Constitution Day on Sept. 17th in order to continue funding the campus's financial aid programs.
Students can show their school spirit at this week's Kick-it Day by flaunting the Seahawk colors of blue and gold, and by partaking in the day's Constitutional themed events. Be on the lookout for ASO members dressed up in costume attire inspired by the Constitution and our founding fathers.
A Constitutional battle involving Harbor students and faculty will allow participants to spin a wheel complete with Constitution themed questions, and if answered correctly, the student or faculty member will win prizes and a complimentary Constitutional pamphlet. Event goers can also take advantage of the opportunity to become a registered voter, be a part of Club Rush, where students can check out and join clubs on campus, and enjoy the barbeque provided by the ASO.
