An altercation between a young woman and a man in the Northeast Academic Hall Thursday (Feb. 19) resulted in an alleged kidnapping at Los Angeles Harbor College. According to reports, the incident took place about 1:15 p.m. when a witness to an exchange between the man and woman tried to intervene and he was thrown to the ground. The alleged assailant then grabbed the young women and took her to his car and drove away. Witnesses called law enforcement authorities and they responded in full force, but by the time they arrived the man and woman were gone. Witnesses later identified the man as Bobby Bradford. It is not clear if he is a student at Los Angeles Harbor College. Bradford, according to police, was later apprehended at his house and the young woman was shaken up, but reported to be OK. Los Angeles County Sheriff Detective James Lewis and Deputy Melvin Young where the officers on scene, but did not want to give a formal statement. They referred all comment to Harbor College President Linda M. Spink, who was unavailable for comment at press time
