Baseball Team Picks Up Another Win by

Harbor College defeated LA City College by a score of 9-5 on Tuesday afternoon here at Harbor. The Sea Hawks were led by Freshman starting pitcher Matt Durbin who went 7 strong innings, striking out 4 and walking 2. He struggled in the 6th inning giving up 4 runs and 4 hits, but he managed to keep his cool and pulled it off and get out of the inning. Phillip Hons relieved Durbin and threw shout out innings adding a strikeout.
The Sea Hawks led from the get go by scoring 5 runs in the 3rd inning. LA City then rallied back by scoring runs in the 5th and 6th inning to tie it up at 5 points a piece, but the Sea Hawks responded by scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th and adding an insurance run in the 7th to seal the victory.
On offense, the Sea Hawks were also led by second baseman Matthew Hibbert and shortstop Carlos Avila who each had 2 hits a piece and outfielder Alex Salgado and catcher Eduardo Camerena who had a hit a piece. Salgado had two runs batted in and Camarena nearly missed a home run by inches. Harbor now has a record of 8-8 overall and 2-2 in the South Coast League
