With Halloween time fast approaching, it is no wonder that Halloween themed films are on its way out to the big screen and to your home.
And a movie that is approaching its release date is the latest Rob Zombie film, Halloween II.
The filmmaker is at it again with this film which opened to a low 16.5 million although raised up in the next weeks with audiences still waiting to see crazed killer Michael Meyers.
And fans were left very disappointing, toward the parts with Michael and the other cast mates; lacking drive and had a lingering plot.
The film leaves off where Halloween I did, with Michael killing his mother and still searching for the last piece of the family tree, his sister.
It centers on Michael searching for Laurie (Angel), and captures the two colliding into each other to make her utterly crazy like her brother.
The ending is the turning point for the two siblings and gives Laurie her chance to end the feud and finally get revenge for the horrible acts that her brother has committed. This is where the last installment will take place and center around her as the new Michael Meyers.
The movie tries and faintly some parts are hair-raising but for the most part this should be Rob Zombie's last attempt for the series. It's not worth your $10 at the theater if your looking for a real Halloween spine thriller.
With his budgets 15 million, an audience would think there would be some better special effects yet there is no off the seat action and no "Michael Meyers themed" music, as in the original.
As the director and writer this is a lacking on Rob Zombie's part. As Rob Zombie says "Mike Meyers never dies", well in this movies case he died in the 80's along with the original.
