The fire was burning near Anaheim street, east towards the 110 freeway, not yet harming LAHC or the Harbor Golf Practice Center.
Kwangsu Yi, employee of the Harbor Golf Practice Center noticed the smoke at about 4 p.m. and quickly contacted the fire department seconds later.
"At around 4:30 p.m. the choppers hovered above the fire for about five minutes, then begun there attack on it," said Yi.
"I was working on my car when I noticed the smoke near the freeway, but kept on working, because I knew the choppers that I heard were already on it," said Manuel Ramirez, Wilmington California.
Bystanders stood and watched as one S-70 A Firehawk of the Los Angeles County Fire Department and three AW139 Los Angeles City Fire Department water dropping helicopters circled and attacked the fire relentlessly.
The cool humidity aided the firefighters battle against the blaze.
After burning about 20 acres, the blaze was put out at approximately 6:05 p.m. with no reported damages or injuries.
It is unknown on how this fire was started.
