Indie Rock band Vampire Weekend played the inaugural show right in the backyard of Los Angeles Harbor College at the Lomita Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall on Saturday Nov. 14. The New York band wrapped up their month long tour in California by playing a concert for a small group of about 200.
The doors opened at 8 p.m. with eager fans waiting in line running to buy tickets and enjoy the music. With a min 50's high school dance vibe provided by the DJ playing hits from that era, Vampire Weekend took the stage with an exuberant crowd waiting around the stage.
The group played such hits off their 2008 debut album as "A-punk", and "M79" as well as new songs off their upcoming album "Contra" which is scheduled for release in January of 2010.
The concert had a limited amount of tickets available and was sold out within minutes. This was yet another successful event for F*** Yeah Fest Presents, which is a promotion company gaining a reputation for itself in the Los Angeles area.
