Harbor annihilates Compton, 72-0

Improves to 8-0, 5-0 in conference, with just two games left, hosts Mt. San Jacinto College saturday in final home game

With just two games left on the season, the Los Angeles Harbor College football team will play its final home game vs. Mt. San Jacinto College, Saturday Nov. 7, before playing at San Bernardino Valley College in the season finale. The Seahawks look to maintain its undefeated mark for the season. Game starts at 6 p.m.

The Seahawks picked up yet another win, in an embarrassing blow out over hosting Compton College 72-0. Improving its record to 8-0, 5-0. Harbor led 52-0 at halftime, after scoring 40 points in the second quarter alone.

Harbor scored first but not until the final four minutes and 42 seconds of the first quarter, on running back Jon White's six-yard run. Harbor led 6-0, as kicker Alex Merced's extra point was blocked.

From there it was all Seahawks. Compton (0-8, 0-5) did not even stand a chance.

Wide receiver Ronald Gaudin added an 11-yard run to the house. Gaudin went en route to have a big game.

The Seahawks led 12-0 after the first quarter.

In the dominating second quarter, the Seahawks scored five touchdowns and added five two-point conversions, for a total of 40 points.

The first score was on wide receiver Jonathan Davis's 38-yard pass from quarterback Dominique Blackman. Gaudin got down the two-point conversion. The next two scores were on receiver Dwayne Frampton's 42-yard strike from Blackman, and a 21-yard catch from Gaudin. Running backs Ryan Simpson and Jeremy MacNamee each rushed for the two points. Gaudin added a three-yard run and White ran for the two pointer. The last score of the quarter came on Davis's second touchdown catch of the game, a 31-yarder from Blackman. MacNamee converted on his second two-point conversion.

Harbor lead 52-0 at the break, and they weren't done scoring.

Gaudin who was playing all over the field, scored on an electrifying 70-yard reception from Blackman, on the first play of the third quarter. That made it a 59-0 lead.

Later in the third, after Frampton returned a 35-yard punt down to the Compton 24-yard line, Blackman connected to receiver Prentice Gill for yet another score. Blackman's fifth touchdown pass of the game.
