The Los Angeles Harbor College Seahawks football team beat hosting Victor Valley College 27-13 on Saturday, to stay undefeated, with just four games remaining on the season.

The Seahawk defense won the game, forcing three turnovers as the offense was being shut down for most of the game.

Harbor jumped out in front as usual on a 11-yard touchdown run by running back Jon White in the first minutes of the game, to take a 7-0 lead. Minutes later Victor Valley answered back on a 14-yard run by Ryan Sampson but the extra point attempt was missed, so Harbor was still on top 7-6.

Jon White had an answer of his own as he scored on a 26-yard pass from Quarterback Dominique Blackman to put the Seahawks out in front 14-6.

Harbor lead 14-6 at the end of the first quarter.

Seconds before halftime Victor Valley rallied back and scored on a two-yard run.

Seahawks lead 14-13 at the half.

Then the Seahawk defense kicked in.

Despite being on the field for over 11 minutes of the third quarter, the defense stopped Victor Valley's 10 minute drive with big plays, forcing a 28-yard missed field goal wide right.

No team scored a single point in the third quarter.

Seconds into the final quarter Jon White broke a 34-yard run for yet another score. His third touchdown of the game! Harbor now lead 21-13.

With just 13 ticks left in the game, Linebacker Paramore Tapa striped-sacked Victor Valley's Quarterback forcing a fumble that Linebacker Ivan McDowell scooped up and returned 12-yards to the house, ending Victor Valley's final hopes of a comeback.

Blackman completed 21 of 32 passing for 226 yards and touchdown.

White lead the Seahawks in rushing with 17 carries for 125 yards and two touchdowns. He added four receptions for 47 yards and a touchdown.

Seahawks leading Wide receivers were Ronald Gaudin with seven receptions for 47 yards. Dwayne Frampton with four catches for 31 yards and Jonathan Davis with three receptions for 60 yards.

Defense was lead by Linebackers Adrian Ferns, McDowell, and AJ Ropati with six tackles apiece. Defensive backs Darrick Parker and Darrin Smith each had five tackles apiece. Defensive back Charles Montalvasge had the lone interception for Harbor. Ferns, McDowell, and Tapa each had a sack.

The Seahawks comeback home and faces San Diego Mesa College, Saturday Oct. 24. Game starts at 6 p.m.
