Seahawks claim 7-0 record over San Diego Mesa
Defensive back Delque Chalk gets key interception that ends up helping the Seahawks keep their undefeated statues, win 42-31.

Los Angeles Harbor College football team raised its record to 7-0, (4-0 in mountain conference) beating visiting San Diego Mesa, 42-31, Saturday night, here at Harbor. The Seahawks jumped out to a commanding 29-0 lead at the time, but wound up leading 29-14 at the half.
In the second half San Diego Mesa cut Harbor's lead down to 35-31. Coming out of a three-and-out late in the third quarter, Seahawks Defensive back Delque Chalk got a big key interception that ended up deciding the game. A few plays later running back Jon White took the handoff five-yards for the score giving Harbor some well needed breathing room to make the winning streak reach seven games.
Harbor scored first like usual, on a 13 play opening drive that ended with White's 10-yard run and got a two point conversion by Running back Ryan Simpson on a two yard run. Seahawks lead 8-0 after the first quarter.
It was all Seahawks in the second quarter until the final three minutes of the quarter as San Diego Mesa scored two touchdowns. In the second quarter Harbor scored three touchdowns in a span of less than five minutes. Quarterback Dominique Blackman capped the start of the scoring with a big 41-yard touchdown run. It was followed by White's 19-yard run and wide receiver Ronald Gaudin's 28-yard strike from Blackman.
After a San Diego Mesa 38-yard field goal, Blackman connected to Wide receiver Jonathan Davis on a 24-yard touchdown. San Diego Mesa then started a comeback and scored two more touchdowns to cut the lead down to 35-31, but right before the third quarter ended, Chalk got the interception and the momentum started to shift back in Harbor's favor.
Four plays later White scored from five yards out. His third of the game, his fifth three touchdown game of the season. The score gave the Seahawks the 11 point cushion that they needed to defend their unbeaten season with just three games to go. The defense held onto the lead and the Seahawks won 42-31.
Blackman completed 17 of 26 passing for 221 yards and two touchdowns. He also had 15 carries for 105 yards and one touchdown.
White carried the football 25 times for 206 yards and three touchdowns, and also added five receptions for 79 yards.
Davis had three receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown. Gaudin's lone reception was his 28 yard touchdown catch. Receiver Prentice Gill added three receptions for 24 yards.
Chalk, linebacker Delano Cook, and defensive end Austin Flynn had six tackles apiece. Linebacker Adrian Ferns and Defensive back Darrick Parker both had five tackles. Flynn and defensive lineman Joshua Aevanu each had a sack. Chalk had the lone interception and it was a big one.
The Seahawks play at Compton College Saturday at 1 p.m.
