Students gathered around to recite quotes in front of a camera last Tuesday, February 23, near L Street for the Television Production course instructed by Will Mickelson. "It's a good hands-on class for the students to learn television and video production," said Mickelson. "It's a good way for the kids to get their "feet wet" on all of the aspects of the film production that you have to do." The passion of the instructor was not only genuine, but kept all of the students cheery with smiles on their faces while engaging in the filming. "It's helping me to get out of the shyness of talking, just getting out there and meeting people, I'm more like a bookworm, I actually just stand off to the sidelines, watching, observing, and reading everyone else, I don't really go out as much as I want to," said Christina Serrano, Administrative Assistance. The course not only helps students get introduced to basic film production, but also allows them to meet other cultures, and allow their personalities to come alive in front of a camera. The creative energy of the course sparks up the community life on campus and adds a new meaning to film production.
